Students at Academy of Design are supported through a number of student services:

Career Services

Career Services supports graduates in their search for career-related employment. The Centre has developed strong relationships with industry professionals to connect graduates with companies that are hiring.

Graduating students are also given access to valuable print and web resources, labour market information, career event opportunities, job search and recruitment materials.

In addition, Career Services offers:

• A required Career Development course for graduating students in each program, where students learn career research skills, networking techniques, resume development and effective interviewing skills

Student Centre

The Steeles Campus offers students a resource space located beside the cafeteria. Equipped with computers and an overhead projector, the Student Centre allows students to do research, connect with peer tutors and socialize with classmates.

Campus Bookstore

The Steeles Campus has a bookstore where students may purchase required texts and resources for their programs. Students at Davisville and Dundas campuses can contact their Student Services Representative for information about the resources required for each program and where they are available.

Campus Libraries

Libraries are offered at the Steeles and Davisville campuses. Both locations offer material to sign out, online research databases and computers for school assignments. Current students can access more information on Web Campus.

New to Toronto?

Students new to Toronto may visit the About Toronto page for helpful advice and links. Need to speak to someone on campus? Students are welcome to visit their Student Services Representative to discuss any questions they have as they move or settle in to the city.

Campuses

RCC’s Steeles Campus has exceptional lab space and technical facilities, and is located on the northwestern border of Toronto on Steeles Avenue West, where it is accessible by public transit. This campus houses:

• Two Academy of Design programs: Interior Design in-class and Video Game Design & Development

RCC’s Davisville Campus is at a vibrant midtown Toronto location, just south of Yonge and Davisville subway station. This campus houses:

• Three programs run by the Academy of Design: Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Graphic Design & Interactive Media
